What should I do if my water heater is leaking from the top?

Shut off power and water, then schedule service. A leak from the top often points to loose supply connections, a failing temperature and pressure (T&P) valve, or issues around the anode rod port. Our licensed plumbers repair and replace tank, tankless, and indirect heaters, and we offer 24/7 emergency help for urgent leaks. We can flush the tank, replace the anode rod if needed, and test the system before we leave. We service Denver and the Greater Metro Area.

Quick checks:

  • Turn off gas or switch off the breaker.
  • Close the cold-water shutoff valve.
  • Do not open or cap the T&P valve.
  • Place a pan/towels to contain water and call us.
